Image Could Not Be FoundHi Robert s4, Do you mean the C.R.E.B. track or cribb. As for the OTT it will require some recovery gear. Just take Gunshot steady and you will be ok, you can bypass if you want. Palm creek I believe is now very steep on entry from the south. See photo from 2010

Hi Andy

That is actually our second son's car. The other one has a 2003, 100 series 4.2TD. It was on the 10-Aug-2010 at 5-59-53 PM. Approximately that is, according to the camera.

That was a family trek with "Dad", me, as he was just diagnosed with an incurrable cancer. Luckily I may take 20 years but on the other side it could be any second. So the two sons, GET THIS, they both updated and bought better cars so that we could all go on a family trip. They are great sons. It was the best time of "our" life. Hopefully more even though there is "nothing out there" according to our "Rambo" friend.

I also put this photo on so that Peter may get an idea what could be at the bottom of the creeks and also Gunshot.

Peter, despite the angle and "muck" at the bottom it was an easy crossing. Slow and steady. No need for heaps of "momentum".

Phil

Hi robert s4, Yes I've been to Port Stewart dropped in their on my way back from the Cape in 2010. Stayed for a fish and got 2 large mud crabs from Rex (in exchange for a packet of smokes). As for the CREB you will have to ring the council at cairns to find out if it is open. It was closed when I was up their but did the Bloomfield Track instead. I would not try the CREB alone, just my thoughts. I am told it was only open for 6 weeks this year.

Hi robert we drove Creb track in June 2010{south to north}, from what we could gather Creb track sign always says closed , but if gates are not padlocked you can drive it just shut the gates, definately would not drive alone umless you have very well set 4x4 and confident on your own. Some of the hills dont have very good winch trees in suitable spots for winching. Also watch the weather carefully any rain just before or during your trip will close the track down and become very dangerous. Hope this helps Cheers.

Hi robert s4, Turn off is sign posted, but 80 klm north of Musgrave roadhouse turn right and go 60klm to end off road. you will see camp ground before the houses but go to the end and see Rex first.
