Hi
Can anyone advise me on a good reliable 4WD mechanic in the

Caren,
Ditto to Mark & Michelles reply, Rob came to our local club and gave a bit of a chat on 4wd mechanics, came across very
well, truck loads of experience. I do my own stuff so I don't have personal experience, based on what others say if i was going to use someone I'd give them a shot, no doubt he won't be the cheapest but as always you get what you pay for.
I've had the ARB mechs do work on my car, diff locks etc, no complaints here either, they're in Osbourne Park, Mick is the guy in the workshop you need to chat to, depends what you want, they do servicing as
well as anything else your bank account can afford. Keep the shiny side up

G'day Caren,
Ditto Robson Bros. I have been having my vehicle serviced by Rob since he opened in 7 Charles St. Bentley, Phone, 9358 1441, and can highly recommend him. He may charge a little extra than your local corner service station, but he himself and his staff are a 4WD owner/drivers and know what is required when servicing a 4WD vehicle. It also gives you peace of mind travelling in the outback knowing your vehicle has been serviced by someone who cares. The company is also Standards Quality Endorsed, so they have to do the job properly or lose their accreditation. Give Rob a call and discuss your requirements with him or the Service Manager Dave Allen, or go and see him. Don't be put off by his shaved head and ugly looks, he really is a push over, just tell him Peter Bailey recommended him on ExplorOz.com
Regards,
Peter. It doesn't get any better than this!!!

Yes I too used to take my troopie to the Robson Bros. The boss there is good but last time I had my car there their mechanic forgot to tighten a nut properly, causing me no end of grief. I believe they sacked the guy after I complained about his workmanship.
So, no place is infallible, no matter how highly recommended.
