Camping can be very very busy there over xmas and with only a couple of pit dunnies can get a bit too crowded, but that is just for the xmas/NYE week and you'll find the same story all round the national parks down that way but not as busy as the coast.

Outside the busiest week it is very pleasant and the falls are great. Hopefully there will be some rainfall so the natural slide is working. The pool under the fall is great, stays cool because it has some depth and the small pools further down even provide a bit of shade.

Most of the camp sites have a fire place but be sure to check the fire safety signs before you light up. There is a bit of wood on the ground but you can collect plenty on the way in case the xmas crowd has already cleared everything around the camp ground.

Above the falls is lovely and peaceful, water is slow and shallow with some sandy granite beaches to set up a comfy chair and watch the sun set through the gums.

Plenty of wildlife with some friendly monitors, possums and lots of birds. Keep a look out for the native orchids, most varieties are small and hard to spot but a delight to see.
