Try village motors at petrie as they are Isuzu specialist and have been great with any problems we have had with ours.
Not too many place have any idea when it come to the 3l td (4jx1 motor) and do more damage then good.

Not a bad idea to check and clean the injector harness connector (next to the oil filler) as it get contaminated with oil which causes the engine to run roughly or not at all.

also make sure you have the correct grade oil in the motor, 15-40w oil commonly used in diesels is too thick for the hydraulic injection system and will cause problems.

I think it should be said that this situation is somewhat bizarre, in that the oil you speak of (inside the harness's union with the supply loom) gets full of black engine oil because the oil is forced back along the INSIDE of the electrical wires themselves, from the injectors ! The union can be disconnected and cleaned out with any solvent that doesn't harm plastics, but the problem will re-emerge.

Mandy B Try this number 5482 6411.

This is the number for my Diesel Mechanic in Gympie.

He has serviced all my diesel vehicles since 1986 and I cannot fault his work.

I will drive up there from Brisbane as often as required just to be satisfied my service is comlpete.

He did own a Diesel Jackaroo for some time so i am sure he will know all about yours.

Have fun Haji-baba
