Hi, I have a 1988 hilux 2.4 D engine , will it fit into a 2000 toyota Surf auto,that has a blown motor.

Not sure but ask that question on the toyota surf forum. They will know.
Isn't the 2000 surf a 3litre? Same as old prado motor? I think you will have problems bolting up to the auto and other electronics.

You might want to check, but I'm 95% sure that you can't put an older engine into a new vehicle unless it meets certain EPA levels...

Or some such jargon...

Hi all , thanks for the replys . I have decided to change tact may look at a recon motor ,so I can bolt it stait in without the headaches. thanks...
