After any info on road access to Tuena NSW, either from the Goulburn side or maybe from the Cowra/Bathurst side.

Would like to tow the caravan up there for a few days sometime over the next 6 weeks, after spending time at Nundle.

Any thoughts/experiences appreciated.

Fred.

Fred

Roads on the Goulburn side are better, with only one? small section of dirt. The Bathurst side has a bit more dirt but they have taken out the worst of the bends over recent years.

Access with caravans is fine. There is camping area on the riught hand side as you come in from Goulburn, not far past the pub. I haven't stayed there but looked inviting.

The road from Goulburn to Bathurst via Taralga and Oberon is better if you are travelling straight through and the way we travel from bathurst to bateman's Bay.

Hi Fred,
mate if you are coming from Nundle then you would be better of coming in from Bathurst side. About 20ks of windy road, but nothing to worry an old bushy. Nice camping spots at Abercrombie caves on Grove creek and at the Abercrombie river itself apart from Tuena. Dropped the young bloke off in Goulburn a couple of weeks ago, went down by Oberon Taralaga and come home through Tuena. The road is a vast improvement on what it use to be. You will have one windy steep grade coming up out of the Abercromie.
Cheers Pete
