After my original post , thread 90617, my radio now has VKS737. After a phone call to David at HF radio things got alot clearer for me . After purchasing a new chip and receiving it today , fitted this in 10 minutes was able to hear VKS sked tonight loud and clear. With the chip came a new channel list that the co pilot can understand and use if in the event I couldnt Will get my travelling buddy on his day off on Wednesday and give it a transmit test and get used too the newer radio . Boys and their toys . No affiliation yadda yadda but just a happy camper . Cheers Wayne

Am very happy things got sorted . Hopefully will be up to speed on operating the radio before we head off in June to either the Gibb river or Connie Sue highway , havent made up my mind yet . Anyway , a very merry christmas to all and safe travels in 2012 . Cheers wayne

Hi Wayne, good to hear you have it all sorted. Are you a member of VKS-737 yet ? I have a sked on tomorrow 7:30am Dergy Ch 1 then Ch 2 then at 7:45 on Meekatharra Ch 2. Give me a call if you like and we can have a chat and ask any questions you may have. Cheers

Hi George , I am a member of VKS737 [mobile 3662] and as i have the day off tomorrow I'll try to give you a shout for a radio check to make sure everything is working as it should . I usually traverl with Keith [Doc ] and Sandy Walker and he most times logs in for us so will be new for me . Cheers Wayne
