G'day all,
Just wondering if anybody has bitten the bullet and put on the new Cooper A/T3's yet? If so is there any feedback on their roadnoise, grip on blacktop, sand, dirt and mud? Unfortunately the Discoverer S/T Maxx will not fit on a 265/70R16 rim so A/T3's are the alt option.
Any feedback pos/neg would be appreciated.
Regards Will

Hi Will,
I have a set on my Amarok. I have only really tested them on sand so far although I did climb a fairly rutted slopped dirt hill the other day.
In my opinion they are an excellent tyre, great in the soft sand and on dirt. There is minimal road noise on the bitumen. I like the extended tread down the sidewall.
My preference for a tyre would be the BFG but I think that they have overpriced themselves and at the moment seem not to be available.

What do you mean they won't fit on a 16 inch rim?

Just to followup, I went out and bought the coopers A/T3 today and has them put on the 76 series LC. They replaced the faithful Bridgestone Duelers which I have used for quite a few years.
Havn't tried them in mud, sand or dirt yet but the difference in road noise on the black top for the first initial drive was amazing. They definately have a more aggressive but balanced tread pattern for an All Terrain when stacked up to most other tiyres.
Stuck with them now for the warranty of 80,000km as long as they are checked every 10,000km, so hopefully it will prove a good purchase.
The ST/Maax is a kick arse tyre for those that get out into the dirt and mud and look also to be a great tyre but the AT seemed the balance for me it is a 70/30 tyre.
All the best for the new year.

Regards Will 76Series
