Hello and a merry christmas to all.We want to leave our van in
Birdsville while we cross the Simpson next year.
What do you regular desert travellers do with your rigs, is there secure storage there? We would be looking at 3 weeks approx, across to Mt Dare,Oodna.,track,
Marree, and up to B,ville again,Any idea's will be useful. Best regards, Keith C.

The van
park will store it for you but I don't think they would do that in race week.
The pub is also a good place to contact and ask if a local will store it.
I had many a cold one with some of the locals recently and they are a good bunch.
A couple of cartons or a bottle of rum I believe will see the problem fixed.
I left my van with the
Quilpie van
park which is owned by the same mob as
Birdsville. Couldn't have received better service. I think it was $4 a day and the van was placed back on a site for when we returned. This was also when they had heaps coming through for the races.
