Hi Everyone,
My aircon pipe that runs along the firewall at the back of the engine has rubbed a hole through it. Can anyone tell me if one from the 4.2 Ute is the same?
Thanks,
Leroy

Hi Leroy,
There two pipes running across the firewall, one is called the liquid line, (which is smaller in diameter compared to the other line that is called the suction line.
The liquid lines should be the same, but the suction lines will be different. Make sure you fit new O rings to the pipe fittings.
Hope this helps

The liquid line is the line that carries higher pressure when the system is operating.
At rest (system turned off) pressure equalises in both liquid & suction lines.

I had the same thing happen on my 4.2 Patrol about 5 years ago.
The guy I took it to had some sort of special welder which allowed him to repair the pipe, saving quite a few hundred dollars. Good luck.
