Gday All, planning a trip for later this month and would like to know if anyone knows the current river height status and if its possible to cross the macalister river at the gorge on burgoynes gap track. Or, do we just cut our lossses and cross at cheynes bridge. Any recent conditions reports would be much appreciated.

Cheers Dave

Have a gander at - http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDV67203/IDV67203.585021.plt.shtm
Might give you an idea of river depths
The BoM site for river depths, etc for east Gippsland has other readings
Cheers

Thanks Warren, exactly what I'm after. I was a bit concerned as I'd heard heavy rains had made the exit and entry points on the crossing impassable, this is obviously no longer the case. How deep would you estimate the crossing? I guess unless we have severe rainfall in the next week we should be ok. Cheers
