It's not just car and 4x4 drivers driving into flood waters.

Train derails in cyclone flooding

We have had very little rain or wind here at Adelaide River, 8.8mm from 9am yesterday to 9am today.

Hi Doug,
Just watched the channel 7 news nothing mentioned. Open EO up and as usual you guys are miles ahead Keep up the good work Doug.
I feel for those Train Drivers what a frightening experience and it would happen so slowly.

Cheers
Graham

Graham, I love the news headlines links on the EO home page, as they always seem to have the most up to date headlines. Just finished reading the relevant item before logging onto the forum.

I was just reading the news story about the storms and derailment and people stranded on roofs and washed away in cars, before logging on here, and wondering you folk at Mt.Bundy fared.

Lo and behold, I get an answer before I ask the question....LOL....magic :-)

Have a great New Year Doug.

Hi Doug, I don't have a rain gauge but the bucket out in the yard has 110mm in it from 8am today till now. Has been raining steady all day, no wind yet all creeks are up and running.

Interesting system Andy, Track map suggests your on the edge. More rain coming. Be interesting if it re-develops on your door step.
