They are designed as black top vans that were never intended for rough dirt roads or Off Road.
Corrugations would I feel, kill one pretty quickly.

The English/continental style vans are suitable for touring on good blacktop only.
You have to remember that camping
places in UK/Europe are not many
miles apart and the traditional European/British holiday usually involves towing the 'van perhaps up to 100miles (160km) on blacktop and then setting it up in a field/caravan park for the duration of the holiday, then towing it back
home.
This is totally different to here where it's not uncommon to tow around 400km or more each day, perhaps staying a couple of days here and there as the mood takes you and then moving on again.
As long as the van remains on blacktop and is checked regularly, it would be quite OK. OFF road or poor gravel would be a different kettle of fish.

On you tube there is a video of both the Swift and the Bailey factory.
It is interesting to have a look. A Bailey caravan starts in the morning and it finished by the afternoon. A Kedron caravan is started in the morning and just under 29 days later it comes out the other end.
