Most Auto Electrician in my area installs and recommends the Cyclops alarm systems. They say they have the least warrantee claims on this brand.
I installed one in the Terrano with keyless entry, and have one in the Pajero through Mitsubishi Dealership.
They seem ok.

JTB.
Please think about reliability, Most nonfactory alarms and immobilisers give trouble at some stage, If you are going to remote areas I would not fit any system because it can lead to a non starting vehicle, I have tried to help get vehicles with aftermarket system started and in one case led to the vehicle being written of because the dealer was unable to determin what the imobilser had done to the ecu. If you think up some simple method of preventing the vehicle being started and instal it yourself then you can remove it if it fails. Eric.

I sell and install Cyclops alarm systems.
I have very few warranty returns or problems.
I have a Cyclops P785 fitted to my personal vehicle,
I live in NW WA and do regular trips up some roughest roads in Australia.
The Cyclops systems are tested to Australian Standards AS3749.1:2003 which includes impact, drop and vibration tests.
One thing to remember with any alarm system is they are only as good as the installation, make sure the installer knows what they are doing.
A processor is available to allow correct operation with vehicles fitted with a turbo timer.
