Well it looks like "we" have lost our pocket size Olympus Tough 850 camera at Peaceful Bay. The really big loss is our Xmas pictures, I hadn't downloaded them so we have lost everything from Xmas onwards.

We were camped up at the Peaceful Bay Caravan Park (site H3) until the 2/1/12 and it was on the last day that the camera went missing. I have phoned the Caravan Park but no-one has turned it in. Would be very grateful if it turned up, even if its only the memory card.

Cheers

Hopefully its was just lost! On the last night we were sitting around the campfire with several fellow campers (friends) and iafter a few happy snaps, t hasn't been seen since. Have looked in all the usual (and unusual) places for it but it hasn't turned up. Is very possible it was inadvertently left outside overnight and may have "walked".

Cheers

There is a new site: http://www.stolencamerafinder.com/ which lets you upload one of your old photos from the camera to search the net for any other photos taken by your camera. This is because most cameras except Sony record the camera settings and camera serial number on each photo taken.
It will only work if the next user of your camera uploads any to the net to one of the photo sites or Faceplant etc.
Worth trying now as well as in a few months.
Good luck.

The same site has a Nikon found nearish to where you lost yours:

found on 2011-12-30
Make Nikon
Model S200
Notes found at emu point, near the lookout, has 700+ photos on the memory card. if its yours, contact me for more details, and to arrange for it to be returned. You can at least put your camera details on the site for more exposure.

Have you tried Walpole Police? They police the area and over New year you may have seen them around and few others.

You never know, someone may have handed it in...
