3 way fridge problem

Hi to all fridge techos,
My friend has a Dometic RM 2350 ten yo 3 way fridge.
There is a problem on gas:
Pilot light will light, indicator will go into green go zone. Release button, pilot light goes out without fridge burner igniting.
I have done the following:
checked the brass jet and it is not blocked
cleaned the biro tip sensor that is heated in the pilot light.
Any other hints before i take it to the Dometic service centre.
Cheers,
Ian

We had a similar problem in a previous van. Turned out to be an issue with the regulator. Also sometime gas pressure can be low because of a leak in the line eg faulty fittings. Does the stove work on gas? Sometimes lighting the stove seems to clear the line (I don't know how scientific this is but it has worked when our fridge has been slow to ignite!) Lynne

Sensor is probably shot. If pilot only runs whilst you hold the valve open manually that seems to be the most likely scenario.

I had a similar problem with a eutectic fridge, with the strangest thing being that it worked just fine if I removed the cover from the back of the unit.

I guessed that perhaps the higher air flow helped increase the temperature of the burner, so moved the sensor in slightly, in the hope that increasing its temperature would fix the problem. So far (fingers crossed) that seems to have worked.
