Ive just done the fuel figures (over 850kms) towing jayco pop up camper with fats 275/70/16 @ 14.3lt/100kms(15 corected) in a landcruiser std Diesel Vs 7.50/5.5/16 super grippers (standard tyers) @ 12.25 lt/100km. Also the fats wernt as tall and with the 4wd spedo read 100km/h (so 100km in distance) but the GPS was only reading 95k/h 5% error. I haven't done a GPS vs Skinnies/ spedo reading yet but am very confident that its close to 100%.
What I am saying is that I used 2lt less fuel / 100kms in similar conditions with skinnies plus the 5% error that is with the fatter but smaller tyre I had to travel 105/6 km to get actual 100km. So the figures look better again compared to the corected error as fist mentioned now 15lt/100km Fats Vs 12.25 skinnies.
Ive now got 9 tyres 4wd+CT all the same.I don't save My daylight

Interesting, whatever fuel saving's you might have made between different tyres has been spent buying more tyres. ( "I have now got 9 Tyres" )
My view is that you are no better off in the pocket !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus you obviously enjoy the excercise gained in changing
wheels. LOL.
Still interesting figure, would be interested in your further monitering and results.
Regards
John
