Hi all just wondering if anyone has had experience with these springs they seem to be pretty good the salesman explained that spring makers all rate there springs differently and that there 1500 kg springs would handle 1500 kg comfortably and for example alco outback1500 kg springs rate there springs at 1500 kg yet they only have 7 leaves 2 less than the std off road spring made by industrial springs so i would say alco have rated theres as the maximum load that there springs will take so any
feedback from people that have off road springs made by industrial springs would be most welcome.
cheers
Andrew

I have had springs made by Industrial Springs for the OKA. I reckon they know their business.
I would choose springs with good travel and a softer ride than those normally fitted to OR trailers. That will mean maximising the length. The number of leaves required for a particular load depends on several factors, including width and thickness and length.
I would also fit shockers.
Cheers,
Peter

If you want to talk to a non salesman, sneak in the back from the side street and talk to Pedro. He makes
the springs and knows his stuff too.

Finally, someone with some commonsense about springs!
Everybody seems blinded by the number of leaves required, if
the springs don't flex, the shock absorbers are getting a free ride, it is that simple.

No experience of
the springs but plenty of experience with the company. They know their stuff and if you take a look at Jol Flemings website he recommends them as
well

I've bought most of my springs from Industrial Springs on Port Rd for the past 30 years - both trailers and 4wds. Great company - one of SA's best kept secrets! Never had a problem.

Interesting Stewy,
I went to them 6 years ago for springs for my 79series - they said they do springs that support plenty of weight, but I was looking for articulation or soft ride, i'd be better off going to one of the 4wd suppliers. I appreciated their honesty.

Phil
Went to them in 2008, was after original height and clearance after new tray was fitted as I was getting wheel strike on the tray on rough terrain. end result was a better ride, all be it a little rough when not loaded, very happy was a good comprise. So far I have done the Canning, Googs and Canunda plus numerous small trips with no complaints.
