I am putting together something of a history of the Overlander Roadhouse in WA.

If anyone has some older pictures of this petrol station or the North West Coastal Hy between 1940 and 1975 they would be appreciated.

Email would be great but if you cannot do this I will pay the mail back and forth to have them scanned.

Old stories of incidents on the highway appreciated as well.

Hey,

Member TerraFirma came up with a Barradale roadhouse Pic circa 1972 in a thread last year.

See what else he can dig up for you

Good Luck.

Turns out it was built the first time by Stephen St John and his wife, who were post WW2 immigrants from the UK. They ran it till 1966 when it was sold to Ampol.

It was destroyed in 1960 by a cyclone and built again only to be destroyed again a few years later by another cyclone.
