Greendog,
From memory you are in SA. If you decide on a Century or Optima battery, there is a place at Glynde that has the best prices I've found in Adelaide and they have the prices on the net:http://batterydiscounters.com.au/ (usual disclaimer - I'm just a customer).
If Its going under the bonnet I'd suggest the Century Overlander N70ZZ4WD at $162 which is a hybrid or the Century N70 wet cell deep cycle which is a few dollars cheaper.

Check out Cat brand batteries. There will be a Hastings Deering mob in S.A. Many people up here(Gove) use em. Ripper warranty, cheap, reliable and you can get a multitude of sizes. Look up on internet for sizes and weights,I think I paid about$160,00 for a 880 cca one 3 months ago. About the same size as the n70z but more cranking amps.
cheers and good hunting

Somebody with some expertise (ie not me) will be along with advice Greendog but it sounds like you need a deep cycle battery with lower CCA and higher RC, not a 'standard' starting battery. Plenty of earlier discussions along those lines if you do a search. Cheers

If you're putting it in the corner then you can probably only fit a 10 inch battery, which rules out the N70s.

Trojan make a 100ah 10 inch that fits nicely. Also Supercharge do a hybrid crank/deep cycle battery.

Other option is to swap batteries around. Use the 10 inch in the corner tray for starting and the larger battery as an auxiliary. Means you can used a much greater capacity auxiliary.
