Rubbers getting a bit low on the triton and I want to replace them before our Easter trip.
I currently have 31 x 10.5 x 15, I want to go 275 x 75 x 16 if they fit.

Going to get my first quote this afternoon but would like a couple more, anyone have any recommendations Joondalup or Welshpool area

Noldi : I think thats about a 40 mm increase in size- big jump for a early model triton , and not legal , 15 mm max . note, most likely will fit but ......is that a good option . I have done this with a ml triton lot more power !!!!!!! over gearing , speedo reading out , etc
cheers nick

Hi Nick thanks for the reply, not sure that it would be a big problem, I have gone up a couple of sizes with both my Jacks in the past found very little noticeable difference apart from 10% out on the speedo. However saying that I tried a set (265 x 75x 16) next to mine and your right its about 15mm radius.
However, I think I would have to lift the front. Not sure its worth the 15mm.

Hi Ian

I cannot comment on the car but I would like to suggest that you have a look at steel rims.

Alloys have their place but for my money steel is more suitable for off road work. The son broke several quite expensive alloy rims on his rally car and what struck me is that you cannot always get the hammer out and knock them into something that will get you back to town. They do not look as good as alloys I will grant you that but if you are anything like us we put looks at the bottom of a very long list. Looks wont get you back to town.

Just an idea.

Thanks Phil, I agree, not particular about Alloys, in fact I've never bought a set but I've bought a few cars with them already on.

Well ended up staying with the 15" rims and same size tyres, trying Hankook, see how we go. Thanks for all the thoughts

Hey! Thanks for dropping back and letting us know how you went. Most just disappear.

We are currently talking with our tyre supplier. The whole set developed heaps of small cracks. Sorry but I better not say in a public forum who the manufacturer is until the issue is resolved. 50-50 percent chance of getting a whole new set. But I do not want to rock the boat. They are not Hankook.

Thanks for the last bit, had me worried for a bit, I have had 3 sets of Bridgestone before, was very happy with them, just hope I feel the same about these in 3 years
