We had a couple of nights there last Oct long weekend and like you had a ball Greendog. One of our highlights was a trip down the Murray on the Paddle Steamer
Melbourne. Going through a lock was some thing everyone should experience although I had my ears talked off about nothing in general by a guy on the boat who had left his wife in town to go shopping. Turned out at the end of the trip that he was the Mayor of
Gawler.SA. Wouldn't fancy one of his council meetings. lol.
We also came across "Frank, the chook man" who was there for the country music festival. What a character he was.

Also couldn't believe how real oranges tasted after we bought some on the way out of
Mildura heading North. Cheers,Bob

Greendog, we live in GOL GOL, just up the road from the Buronga Caravan Park you stayed in, it really is a lovely park. This is such a nice place to live, although very, very hot summers take a bit of getting used to. We are Heading off on Wednesday to do the BIG LAP of OZ travelling in our van for at least 12 months and looking forward to seeing more of the beautiful
places in this wonderful land we call
home.

I agree that
Mildura is a wonderful place. So relaxed and laid back with all the facilities.
And then there's that amazing Stephan's Restaurant as
well as his beaut Cafe that I just know the Missus will want to revisit. Not cheap but for us it was one of the standouts about
Mildura and that entire area.
Actually we're planning a trip to visit our mate the
ranger (Graham we're coming mate) at Mungo NP & of course
Mildura is an absolute must.
Happy trails - WD
