Lifestyle - down that way too last I heard.
Had one of their mid priced models a while back and was a good solid unit.

I am the Marketing Manager for Lifestyle Camper Trailers - we are sad to see an iconic brand like Trackabout go by the wayside - it is sad to see anyone go out of business in such a great industry - the good news for us is that Lifestyle is still going strong and in fact expanding our range in 2012. Feel free too call us on 07 3208 8350 if we can help anyone in the future.

Schoee,

Head over to Camel Trailers (also in Underwood/Slacks Creek) and have a look at their range.Camel Campers

No connection, just a satisfied customer.

Cheers,
Chris

I'll believe it when I see it...

JT has been so busy lately I find it hard to see how this could be true.

sorry to say doors are locked, no one answers phone, and a guy in a suit opened the locked front doors and told me.
i was onlly weeks away from ordering, was just working out fine points.
having already hired from many places over the years, and knew the best and was trying to work out the fine points

Website is still active and no mention of the receiver...

Could add items to cart - didn't go to checkout.

Either it's a storm in a teacup, or more seriously they're still trading while insolvent. Not good !

Comments by JT on the My Swag site states that it is under voluntary Administration not quite at the reciever stage yet :(

Cheers Kev

The word about is that there will be a few more 'going down the gurgler' in the near future. Including 1 or 2 of the BIG name operations.
I think the market has become saturated, especially with the Chinese imports making a big impact.

Great bloke Johnny Trackabout,

A bloody shame to see a great australian manufacturer in trouble.

Hope you fight your way out of this Johnny.

Regards
