Just purchased new GXL 200Series Landcruiser. Fitting bigger rims and tyres plus all the extra's. Have someone interested in buying the rims and tyres but they have a 100Series landcruiser. Will they fit?

Hi ann
Try asking this mob:
http://www.lcool.org/forum/
You may need to know if the 100 series has 5 or 6 stud wheel. Ours is 5 stud 16" wheel and it's a GXL 4.2TD if that will help.

They will fit an IFS 100 series. Same PCD and offset.
However 100 series won't fit on a 200

Be careful when turning or when the
suspension is under compression, especially in a KDSS equipped 200.

200 series tyres are 285 wide and 100 series are less. I think this is what he was refering to as not fitting. You cannot reduce the width of a tyre beyond what is the standard tyres size. rego requirment but not certain if this will be the rule in every state.

I hate it when people use acronyms that are not known to the general public. They are either showing off or forgetting that not all are familiar with their technical world.
What the hell do PCD and KDSS mean?
Think of others before you throw them around. We aren't all engineers or mechanics.
Regarding the change of wheels: If the diameter is different won't that have an impact, good or bad, on the performance of the gearbox and drive train. I do not know which. Just bringing the point up.

PCD = Pitch Circle Diameter. If you draw a circle thru the wheel bolt holes, its the diameter of that circle.
KDSS = Kinetic Dynamic
Suspension System and is a Toyota acronym for their automatic dis-connecting sway bars thats fitted to 200's.

Thanks guys.
I found the pussy cat dolls one but I thought that according to what Captain described it as that it was some kind of bolt diameter. But I get the idea. Having the IFS 100 it's worth knowing wheel alternatives if something breaks.
KDSS had me stunped. I didn't even get to it on Google. No worries guys. The posts make sense now.

Well, I was going to ask what PCD and KDSS where, but following the chat thread I'm now a chick with too much knowledge. Pussy Cat Dolls are cool!
