Hi,
Can anyone tell us what the Warrnabool
showgrounds are like to stay at?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Nick & Sal.

I have never stayed there but I live near warrnambool so am familiar with the
show grounds. It looks as though they are pretty basic, and they are slightly out of town but still on a busy road. I have stayed at jubilee hopkins park and thats lovely. goodluck!

I agree with the Hopkins River Park, stayed there at Xmas for a while and it is one of the best parks ever stayed at.
Cheers

I live in Warrnambool. The
showgrounds are 6 blocks from the centre of town heading west so still
well within the city limits. Have never camped there but my memory of the facilities is that they are pretty basic. It is on a main through road which I am sure is reasonably quiet at night but you do have the opportunity to
camp a reasonable distance from the road. Many people stay there so it can't be all that bad. If you stay - welcome to Warrnambool

Nick, ok for a night two. Basic facilities with little shade. 15 minute walk from city centre.

I dont know if its true but i did read on another
forum that the Warrnambool
showgrounds are closed due to pressure from caravan park owners in the area. The person on the other
forum recommended staying at Koroit. Odd thing but I was reared just over the
hill to the East of the Warrnambool
showgrounds about 1 1/2 k's away - making a trip down there at the end of Feb first time back in over 30 years. Might be an idea to ring the council before you turn up. Cheers
