Both tyres on my Jayco camper have worn badly on the inside edge, I have found it has a bent axle. BUT I am confused ??? The axle is bent "UP" in the centre. To my calculations the outside edges of the tyres should be worn NOT the inside.
The bend is about 4mm down at the extremities.
I am at a loss, does anyone have any ideas. I told a couple of people in the trailer business about it and they cannot give me an answer.
Any help will be appreciated.

Regards
Robbo

My guess is maybe your axle is bent like a W.You would probably have to take it off to notice it and roll it on flat ground. If it doesnt ,then its possible it bends that way only when under load.

If you were under there while it was loaded up and mobile you might see the problem (static geometry may be of no consequence).... but seeing you can't be under there when mobile...... a suspension expert may be able to predict the profile under load and suggest a remedy. You should give Jayco a good go at it first....they may be quite helpful on the phone. Why I am here looking at this screen ?

Yeah I suffered the same problem after towing my Jayco through the mud at Brewarrina for about 3 hours . The axle was dozing mud all the way and it bent up and back and when I hit the black top it chewed the tyres down to the steel belts in no time . Took it to a wheel alignment joint and thought he would straighten the axel but he just bent it to run true again and it still does to this day .

Rob it doesn't really matter whether you can get an explanation or not - the important thing is to get it straightened!
