Does anyone have an ideas as to where to mount a UHF & AM CB in a 94/95 model Surf. I have both my Din Slots filled up with a Stereo and TV.

1 - buy a roof console
2 - lose the tv
3 - i mounted
mine in the hilux on the metal plate that runs under the glovebox (i'm too tight to spend 300+ bucks on a bloody roof console)... glovebox still opens without a problem, it's a bit of a stretch to change channels, etc and you will probably need a mic extension cable. ymmv
cheers,
KG

TV is good for Xbox on long trips, keeps the little one occupied. I'll look under the Glovebox, had'nt thought of that.. Thanks.

Hi Jeff
What's involved in the TV/Xbox setup? Brand/where to look/cost range, etc? Was thinking of putting one into my wagon. For the
young fellows as usual.
Cheers
Wil

Yeah Computer nerd, I was a Computer nerd when I was younger back in the days of the Super 80, Atari and Commodore 64, it paid off for me, I make a good living out of it now, I still got out and went bush with the old man, still road my bike and played with matchbox (dinky) cars under the house, everything in moderation, and if he's happy and quiet on a long trip, so are the misses and I!
Yeah, get a TV from your local Car Stereo place or even cheaper get a portable TV (4 or 5 inch or somthing) from Altronics or Jaycar and hook it up. You can either make a powersupply for the Xbox or use a Inverter. The Inverter will eventually cactis the power supply in the xbox because it is producing a square wave signal and the Xbox power supply is a switch mode jobby. But if it's a reasonable inverter and it's only once now and then it'll be ok (probally) lot's of people do it. The advantage of that is that the Xbox plays DVD's as
well!

Mate
I grew up with the Apple IIe 6502 & Z80 era...real basic but evolutionary at that time.
Will explore the power supply option as that sounds reliable. Any advice here?

I havn't actually made one for the Xbox as yet, just use an inverter, however they are easy to get into with a star head screw driver and from looking at
mine it's a basic PC power supply, probally running 12v +- and a 5v +- line (to run the Hard Drive Controller, possibly even just add a 12v +- input on the side of your xbox and run it directly off the battery, will have to have a more detailed look, am going on a trip down south for a week or so over christmas, will see what I can sort out before then.
