Denis,
using Auto Trans Express it cost me $760 to move a big 4WD from
Alice Springs to
Canberra.
Townsville to Melb is probably about the same distance, so my guess would be about that price. Give em a call for a quote.Bob

bob,
not good news on caravan transport. completely different fom a car.etc.most transport only 3 vans at a time. So at $2600 from
Melbourne to
Townsville(three quotes all about the same). I will probably be off to Lygon Street after xmas.

Truckster,
4000km at an av of 15L/100km is 600L. Add on depreciation of vehicle, servicing costs, and the value of your own time (4 days) and it starts to look pretty good value.Bob

Hi DenisL, Autotrans is another company that can move it for you. Ring them on 03 9284 2966 and they will give you a quote. Another option is to call a couple of
Townsville transport companies and arrange it as "back freight"...much cheaper!
Cheers
Alex
