Hi all, we have just purchased a pre 1970's Murrumba Star(we think?). I have it gutted at present and was hoping for some idea's for sealing around the bull nose and other curved recess's in it? Our thought is we want to paint it inside.
We are also going to rewire it for only 12 volt.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

not knowing but suspecting it to be a caravan of some sorts
i googled it and it came up with some very interesting facts about the origin of these vans in the first item in the list on google
they were around prior to 1962 and then i clicked on "linda walkabout "and it was a tray-on camper from the early days as
well
have only read a few threads but there are some very good photos as
well of that vintage error and some notes
thanks for the lead
the photos if you havent seen them maybe of use to you with your reno job

Hi mazcan, yes it is a caravan built in Caboolture pre 1970's. The main Murrumba's that are seen on google are the space rocket (thunderbirds) fibreglass design while ours is an alumunium frame one at 15 foot long. Once I work out how to put up pictures I will. As i am new to the hole experience i find alot of usefull info on here and google.

My dad used to sell Murrumba Star caravans in
Ipswich back in the late 60's early 70's. I remember when we got one each of the Mini Star and Linda Star (the fibreglass ones) on the lot and everyone used to come in just for a look at the revolutionary vans. Brings back memories.
