This is a good video for anyone planning to drive through the
Canning Stock Route. It shows some of the mechanical problems that can arise during the trip and how to deal with them. The video rightly suggests that you should travel with someone experienced in back country navigation and definitely not travel alone. The video highlights some of the history of this route and the beauty of the landscape and vegetation. I would have found this video better if it dealt more with the travelers' responses to the region, what they thought of the landscape, the vegetation, the bird and animal life as
well as the cool nights under a open sky. If I were to take a trip along this route, I would make sure that I spend some days exploring the countryside by foot, taking in the remarkable sights, sounds and smells of the area. I would also like to visit an aboriginal community and hear some of their stories, experiences and songs.
