have bought a hayman reese 5 hole extendable tow hitch. just having 2 bolts holding it together. was wondering if anybody has used this kind. 02 patrol ute towing a 16 ft caravan. in may if things are right will be going out to
innamincka. would not like things to go pearshape.

Are they through bolts or just 'stud bolts' ie no nut for the bolt.
The 'stud bolt' variety of these extendable hitches are only rated to a max of 2000kgs.
Now! if your Van is over the the 2000kg limit when fully loaded, you could have an interesting time.

stud bolts. could get a longer bolt for 1 but the top 1 is ofset down the tube. need about 100mm drop. might ring camec think they have a 1 peice to suit
