ExplorOz - David & Michelle
I just heard David say to someone on the phone just now ... "I always ride (my bike) more km per year than I drive!"
Now I think about it, its likely to be true (and his Garmins would verify that fact).
tee hee hee

Did you mean this to be put on ExplorOz or TriathlonOz? It is true anyway even our 4WD trips we do are still shorter than the number of km's I sit on my bikes (push bikes).

Yup - meant for here. Who else other than ExplorOz people would truely appreciate the driving we are referring to and then consider that you exceed that with pedal power - some would say you are crazy. I might be too, but I haven't thought about looking at the stats - by the looks of it, that might be too scary to contemplate!

Our pleasure Doug, you deserve it. The little title in your sig suits your profile on ExplorOz.

Nah, some people choose to ExplorOz on push and motor bikes. I must admit I could not really think of riding around Australia on a bike, but I have seen a number of travellers out there doing it.

Yeah David, your not wrong about various forms of transport. We were out at Cameron's Corner once and were surrounded by about 40- 50 riders on postie bikes just come in from Innaminka the hard way (
Bore Track). That's not fun from my perspective.
Cheers Colin.

When I was younger and fitter (less fatter) I used to do around 20,000 - 25,000 per year on my bike. I used to ride at least about 100 K per day...
So I would belive it ...
