RB30 patrol stalling

Hi .I have an RB30 Patrol carby, when i go off road and through river crossings, the distributer gets wet and the motor stalls. i have silasticed the leads, cover, and the back plate behind the rotor button, even the breather.can anyone help????pls

1/2 a tin of WD40 before entering the
water would be a good start..
there is something wrong if its all sealed up, and
water is getting in, could be a cracked dissy cap maybe?

Do you spray it in or on the dizzy or both?

Do you end up with
water in the distributor?
If you do then it's coming in either by a cracked vacuum hose or a cracked housing. Spray it with a fine mist of WD, or replace the components.
Check for hoses by REPLACING THEM! Don't try and check. She's going to have stuffed pipes by now and you should do way with them....

i have an rb30 patrol and have been through some pretty deep
water with no trouble till one day i went throu not a deep one and doh she stopped what is was was one of the wire looms down the side of the motor on the left hand side got a little wet and that was it.unplug all the plugs down that side 3 or 4 plugs and crc them.another thing to do is run the motor and spray
water over all the plugs9not spark plugs) and dizzy ect and see wich bit makes it stall and go from there
