g'day all
three months ago i polished a piece of mild steel bar to lustrous shine,sprayed it with the above mentioned product,went and hid it down the beach behind some rocks,
THE CONCLUSION

NO SIGN OF RUST

WHY IS IT SO!
i have no affiliation with product.

Did you stick a second piece of untreated steel bar nearby?

ah! yes chisel i did,the result for that piece is not what you want to see in your vehicle.

I'll back "bluefella"s call on this product to wich I also have no affiliation with either.

We use it on our mobile fleet at work that operate in an Ammonium Nitrate environment - 10 times as corrosive as the sprinkling of salt you get on your car driving up the beach.

A friend of mine put an electronic rust preventor on his landcruiser. He took out a radiator support panel bolt and replaced it with a mild steel bolt.....it never went rusty, but got a white powder on it, whereas another m/s bolt rusted up straight away.....
The techtyl keeps air from the steel....so no oxidation.
