Does anyone more learned than I know if a 2010 Hyundai i30 CRDi has a coolant drain plug on the block and if so where it is and if there is level plug and its location on the 5-speed manual gearbox or other way of checking the gearbox oil level such as removal of the speedo pulse generator. Thanks in advance.

You want have a block drain plug.
All Hyundai have 17mm head gearbox level plug half way up the front of the g/box
Thanks Graham

Thanks Graham & Lynne. Some makes have drain plug in the block and some don't so I wasn't sure. I already had a good look using a mirror and torch but it is so tight in there a plug would be easily missed. So if I drop the bottom hose off or open the drain point at the bottom of the radiator and have the heater turned on I guess I will get all the coolant out that is going to come out.
Thanks again.

With above hoses off then take any heater hose of then put garden hose in to one of the open heater hose. Then alternately block off open ends of hose this way all old coolant will be flushed out.
