There is a good possibility that the Barrier Highway at Cockburn will be open again in about 48 hours.
There will be a detour track built around the damaged bridge at Pine Creek.

Further news as it becomes available.

cheers

Thanks Dave that is good news, now fingers crossed the highway at Nyngan doesn't close before Saturday afternoon. I should be passing thru BH midday Sunday if all goes well.

Hi Vic,

Went thru Nyngan this arvo and its flowing hard, not sure it will cut the road, some old timers in Nyngan dont believe it will and they are of cause the most accurate forecasters around.

Cheers Wilko

Thanks Wilko, some of my crew are heading out there tomorrow so they will also report back to me.

Dave, I'm going straight through to Port Augusta, trying to get there by Sunday night to meet the rest of the group for our trip across the Simpson, we want to leave Mt Dare on the day the Desert opens after the Summer closure, should be quite a trip!

Thanks Dave, it looks like I should be able to stick to my schedule for my trip west at the end of the month.
