What is it Muz a six or an eight ? regardless if it is in good condition there a great vehicle.

Might not have a lot of followers but a terrific off road vehicle and good capable tourer. Parts and aftermarket accessories everywhere but like all second hand vehicles the lower k's the better.

Cheers Teza

Muzbry,

If you don't buy it, you will never know.

I'm a former Jeep Grand Cherokee owner gone to Prado 150. Big backward step.

Not sure it would be long enough for you to sleep in the back, Muz.

Also, it may not have the clearance that your Patrol has for those High Country creek crossings.

On the other hand, they are nice looking bits of kit.

Gday MickO
Lil Wes has just found himself a Pajero shorty and is like a kid with a new toy, which is what he is.
About the Jeep, family say I need a later model car and am just looking around to keep them happy. I suppose the nissan is fading and getting on, but I still turn up with every one else.

I don't own a Jeep but have worked on hundreds of them. The 4.7 V8 is bullet proof so long as it hasn't been over heated and is well serviced. It's the vehicle electrics that will give you the most problems, also at that age the trims will be starting to fall apart. One thing that is a common problem on this vehicle is the ventilation control flaps in the heater box break off and can be costly to fix. Make sure the heater/air con works in all modes ie. screen, floor etc...

Also make sure you're happy with the soft/soggy American suspension.

It will probably have open diffs and no traction control if that is on your list of 4wd requirements. Pretty good off road anyway. Cheers.

Gee Muz , you could've got my Patrol rather than the kids - of course I would not have had entertainment value like the call while camped at Pyrennies this weekend which began - I have just broken the two front aftermarket manual hubs what do I do now !

Keep the RB30 - wasn't it those jeeps featured in many TV current affairs show a few years ago on fire ?

Gday Robin
Fire, now thats entertainment . Thanks for the offer of the Nissan, i hadn't thought of your car, but i need to get at least five years from my vehicles and it looks like yours would not have made it.
Want to do a night in the cold this coming winter with a few others ?
Thanks again.
