Hi all

Have a friend leaving soon on a 3 months trip to the west and then up to the Kimberly and back through the centre to Sydney. He will probably be at Broome around early June.

I know its a bit early to be asking this but question is how wet has the wet season been this year around there. Whats the opinions on when the Gibb River Rd will open. I was up there last August and I think the GRR opened about June after a very very wet "wet season"

Any info appreciated.....Peter

Well if it's been the same as Lorella Springs it's been a dry wet season. But saying that the weather over the last few days has dumped a lot of rain in the area from the cyclone. You might want to check on BOM.com it will give you the rainfall for this season.

Damaged roadsIts been a bit of a late wet this year.

It may be a poor wet, or it may of only just started.

Some places have copped a flogging, others have had a normal wet.

Too early to tell, after all the rain up in the East Kimberley over last couple of days, and with the cyclone lingering down in the Pilbara and dumping some rain in the West it could get interesting over next 2-3 weeks.
