Hi,
Anyone been to
Kinchega or
Menindee lately? Just wondering what the roads are like - have seen on some reports that quite a few are closed. We were hoping to
camp there for a few days during school hols.

It would be very difficult going at the moment I think. I just recieved a river closure notice for the area. Area totally closed to all forms of boating, except for emergency response until 30 March 2012. The lake are currently 100% full and there is still a heap of water due there this week.
Regards
Jas

Hi. If you contact the
IGA supermarket in
Menindee they have the Tourist information desk so should be able to guide you. You will get to
Menindee from
Broken Hill without a problem but
Pooncarie or Ivanhoe roads would be another matter. I'm sure once in
Menindee the
Kinchega road would be OK as
well. Cheers,Bob.
