Seasons greeting all.
This should not be a prob of the christmass trip as we only havw it in colder weather, but we tend to get a lot of condensation under the matress in our off road camper. others must have had the same worries, so how did you fix it ?

G'day Vince, all the best for Xmas and the new year
We've had the condensation problems in the past as
well. Solved it in the first instance by putting a cotton blanket (any other sort seems to attract mould and smells) between the mattress and the camper base. A longer term solution is to insulate the camper floor so it does not get as cold (condensation forms when warm moist air comes in contact with a cold surface) that way the condensation won't form. Don't forget to air out the cotton blanket on a regular basis especially during the winter months

Seasons greetings again to all,
We suffered the condensation problem when we first got our TrakShak but only on one side. The TrakShak has a timber ply base under the mattress which does not suffer the condensdation problem badly but on one side the clear plastic windows were stored under the mattress causing the condensation. Got rid of them and got rid of most of the problem.
The other thing we do is when we are stopped for a couple of nights in the one spot we stand the mattresses on edge to let them breath a bit.
Happy
camping and once again all the best for Christmas.
Don't forget the reason for the season.
Duncs

Vince, we
camp in a roof top camper with a foam matress and we were advised to fit a mesh type underlay that allows air to flow under the matress. Sorry can't help with the name but we got it from our local hillbilly
camping store. We've never had a problem so it must work.ne cede malis
