Truma hot water system is leaking, we have identified the water dripping from front of van is from the unit. Looking through the gas vent can see drip of water but after taking the bed out and accessing unit from inside can't see anything but can hear drip, drip, drip. Unit still working fine but, anyone know what this might be?

I had a leaking Truma hot water tank and as it was just out of warrenty, I removed the tank and I took the strap that holds the two tank sections together and found a hole. I seem to remember it was on one of the spot welds so I just soldered it up and now it doesn't leak. My system was a 12 litre storage unit. Best of luck.

I had two issues with the Truma in my last van. Main one was a leak where the electric element studs were welded onto the inner SS tank, had them SS welded and OK.

The other was where the Push In Joiners were attached to the water outlet. The pipes leaked there till I found that there is a small hard plastic sleeve that is supposed to be pushed up into the pipe before it is pushed into the Push in Plastic fitting.

Gee! They don't sound like a quality unit. Maybe they should change their name to TRAUMA !! :)) Michael
