Hi
We are heading out this Friday to do Madigans, I cant find the old fuel price chart that used to be on EO. So I was just wondering if anyone can help with fuel prices?
Places i need are the following, both Diesel and ULP!
Port AugustaCoober PedyOodnadatta
Mt Dare (guess Jeff can help here)
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers

Open your wallet and let the moths fly free and don't think about.
Everyone of those
places takes a credit card, so just fill up, pay up and don't look at the credit card slip/receipt and that way you will enjoy your holiday.
If you are a cash man - $2,000.00 should get you through, however when taking into consideration that overheating thing you drive, maybe you should err on the side of caution and increase that to $3,000.00.
Enjoy the trip and I just wish I was going with you.

Totally agree with most points DD, I never worry about the price of trips or I wouldn't be going but for an example, why would you buy fuel at
Glendambo when usually its cheaper further north, thats the only reason I asked.

When you get fuel at
Coober Pedy the
Shell dealer has the cheapest fuel. They are one street back down by the drive in.
I usually fill up at the BP one in town. Never had any fuel problems.
The
Pink Roadhouse at
Oodnadatta should be OK. They have a 1800 number; give them a ring.
Like others have said you just have to pay up. Just avoid buying fuel between large towns they a always dearer.
Enjoy your trip

Gday Glenn,
have a great trip - look forward to hearing about it.
I don't know recent prices (Wayne might), but my favourites:
Port Augusta - doesn't really matter - we get fuel from the BP truckstop, but a Coles fuel voucher will get you
Shell at a cheaper price. There's woolies fuel near the woolies
shop but I don't trust Woolworths fuel.
Agree with you about
Glendambo - we avoid the place.
In
Coober pedy, we turn right at the drive-in and you have the choice of the
Shell depot (?called outback traders) or the Mobil depot. Price about the same but much better than the roadhouse and cheaper than
Glendambo. But they are closed sundays.
Oodnadatta - I like to support the
Pink Roadhouse - they have opened up the
Simpson Desert for people like us, and their fuel prices have always been reasonable and they have got us out of a spot of bother on multiple occasions.
Mt dare - another place that I like to support.
Cheers, and enjoy!
Phil
