All Terrain (AT) Tyres

When you are looking for a compromise between off-road capability and good on-road manners, an All-Terrain (AT) tyre is the way to go.

Hi All, I am looking for a new set of boots for my Grand Cherokee. I have had over 50,000 kms out of the standard Wrangler highway terrains and I am not too unhappy about that.
On my previous GC if had 2 sets of Coopers the first were AT's and the second set was their ATR's. I got over 80,000 out of each and the only complaint I had was the second set were prone to grabbing rocks and flinging them out into the wheel arches some several kms down the road.
I am open to all options that are available to me. Others on the list so far are the new Bridgstones, a set of Mickey Thompson ATZ 5 ribs's and also a set of Cooper AT3's.
I look forward to your experiences and advice.

ChrisK, hi there i run cooper st on my commander, which i love , but in saying that i do a far bit of offroad, as i live in the NT. regards quincy

Obviously you and Coopers 'get on' (me too).... seeing you don't 'have a need to change', why not try the ST's ? - I'm using them on my mota at present while the van still has BFG AT's - the specs for both are close - for me, it came down to price, on my last buy. The ST-C's are chip resistant but they, and the aggressive patterned STT's have a reduced service service life compared to the others.

I have Yokohama Geolander A/T-S on my GC and they are pretty awesome. I usually get 80-100k from a set and they seem good on all surfaces. A really good all round tyre.
