Just got off the phone with the Publican at Dargo.

Camping will be available behind the Hotel from Thursday afternoon to Monday morning. A charge of $10 per person will apply. Toilets and limited showers are being made available to campers. First in first served as he is not taking bookings.

The Pub has a band on Saturday and Sunday.

The old pub has gone downhill, the new one is much better now.

Might be worth revisiting Shaker.

Publican mentioned he took over in February and has made quite a few changes.

Look forward to seeing the improvements personally at Easter.

This brings back memories from many years ago...we were up there after bushfires in the late 60s to repair burnt out phone lines...one of our group asked at lunch time when would the pub open...he was told..when the sun goes down behind that hill the pub will open and not before ,(it did stay open till rather late) we were camped in PMG caravans on the other side of the river, it was our habit to leave the keys to the vans on top of a wheel when going home for the weekend....minor floods were forecast for one weekend when were to be away at home and locals told us that the river never flooded over there and the vans would be safe....came back to find the vans outside the pub and of course no keys, the locals had hauled them to safety but did not know about the keys on top of the wheels.....great little place but...cheers
