I have a Dometic awning that I need to fit to an older Evernew pop-top. The instructions provided only cover an ordinary van and Dometic were somewhat less than helpful when I asked them about it.

I'm reluctant to drag the van from the eastern suburbs to the outskirts of Melbourne to pay $350 to get it fitted.

Looking for instructions, photos, videos or even a 'gun for hire' .

Any ideas out there?

After a long look, I found Allvans at Narre Warren who did the job for $200, very pleased with their work and service.

Do you know what type of work Allvans do?
I'm looking at a suspension upgrade for my onroad van to make it more suitable for outback touring and Narre Warren is right next door to me.
Regards Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
They have a range of jobs on the floor, a re-skin, a van they are building, a restoration, but I didn't see any chassis work there now.
Give Nilton a call on 9705 9369 and ask him.
I was particularly pleased to be able to get in as it seems its the season to prep vans for the Big Lap. He also went through the deployment of the awning and the traps/tricks involved - good service

Cheers
Geoff

Thanks for replying Geoff.
I actually called in there late yesterday afternoon and had a chat with them.
Chassis work isn't there area of expertise and they suggested I get in contact with G&S Chassis who made the chassis for my van.
It looks like they cover most other things though and I'll certainly keep them in mind when it's time for servicing the van, especially as they are so close to me.
Regards Andrew.
