Hi, just wondered if anyone out there has launched their boat on the Pentecost at
Home Valley Station and safely returned to shore without any croc incidents? How was the fishing? Any tips?
Cheers

I wouldn't fancy taking a boat out there Kerry - there are some big crocs in the river. In 2008, friend took my husband fishing on the Pentecost downstream from the crossing, and day and night they and three crocs watched each other. Friend practically had names for theses regulars. They got some good fish. They slept in tent ON the ute trays.

why not ring
home valley station direct. You could ask that question as
well as inquire about guided fishing trips by the locals who know the best spots. Yeah there are some bigges in there, but they are not like "old sweetheart" and shouldn't attack the boat. They will just wait till you have a fish and releive you of it. lol.

I actually don't think you need a boat - we were up there last year - plenty of fish to catch from shore. Just watch where you're standing and our success came from live bait.
