Hi Ron
There was some major diff-erences around that era. Havalook at yours and let us know....
Your diffs....does the rear one have a unboltable cover on its ass, or is it unbolt and pull out the front type?
Your transfer....is it 2 halves bolted together (top and bottom) or (front and back)
Everything changed between 75 and 80, transfers, diffs, etc.
But everything was also interchangeable early to late :-)

g'day and thanks andy ,
the diffs on the old girl are bolt it the front type and transfer is bolt back the front ,
im picking up a wagon this weekend its a 1975 to 1984 model, (havent seen it yet ,just bought it for the motor, but have been thinking the the diffs might change over ,mine being a work difs and the wagon being a hwy diff, not to mention the gear box and transfer might be in better nick then mine,, mainly just hoping the diffs will bolt straight in, i want to swap both rear diff and leaf springs over, and front diff (maybe springs as well) any way guess it gives me lots to thinik about,
i'd like to maybe think about cuting the rear off the wagon making it into a duel cab, and put a tray on her , just a thought ,
cheers andy

Ok just so we r clear, you have the later diffs and transfer in yours. (dont know what it is exactly)
The wagon u have bought is a troupy, diffs should be thesame ratio (4.11) as the original blown motor cruiser.
Rear springs on the troupy will be longer than what u have if it is not another troupy.

yeah the gear box and motor was an upgrade on the tray back (one with blown motor)
the other is a wagon(4door) not the troupy model, will that make any differances ? in the spring length? and my diffs are 1967 model and i was told the diffs in the wagons used a high way diff ? this not true you think?? the tray back is a long wheel base as well if this helps
cheers again andy

You might be lucky with the rear springs, but think you will end up putting some of the leaves in yours. The diffs of yours are later models which is good but the ratio is 4.11. If the wagon u have bought is a 55 series 3 speed gearbox, 1975 model, it may have 3.7 diffs.
