Nissan, definitely manual adjustment. Every 40k I believe. At least the rocker cover has a neoprene gasket which can be reused a few times instead of replacing it each time.

I was told by the service department before bought
my 2003 td6 diesel Nissan that the lifters were hydraulic.
I hope thats right?

No the lifters are not self adjusting, you have to remove the rocker cover and get dirty!
If left for too long they can decrease the performance and wear into the rocker face, and they are expensive to replace!

They are definately manual adjusted as the others have said, most salesman don't know the mech,s of what they are selling so go and see the workshop boys at a nissan dealer if you are still not sure.

Well thats disappointing,I went to Brighten Nissans service
department for that quality advice. I guess its not that big of deal
if its every 40,000k.
Anyone Know
the gap specs, don't think I would like to
trush the Nissan service department up in Alice either.
Thanks for the heads up.
