The roadhouse has closed. With Hells
gate also being closed, the nearest fuel on the
Savannah way is at
Doomadgee to the east (130km) or
Borroloola to the west (254km). This means that there is a distance of 384km without any fuel on the
Savannah way between
Borroloola and
Burketown. Fuel can be obtained in an emergency at Hells
gate (max 60litres at $1.85/litre).
