Travelled this road two weeks ago. Good except for half a dozen very serious dips within dips. If anyone is interested I can scan and send them the equivalent Melways map with GPS co-ordinates of the route. Wondered if on the right road at one stage. Car coming the other way, so we stopped them. Santos workers gave us their Cooper Basin road directory. Never looked like getting lost again. Once out of the Moomba gas and oil field area you can't get lost because there is only one road.
